Gretna Hub members can directly post events, classes, or camps to the Gretna Hub calendar with their free LocalHop organization account. There’s no waiting for a Gretna Hub moderator to review and approve your posts. Instead, you create your event on LocalHop whenever you’re doing the rest of your marketing.

Furthermore, you don’t have to hope that a Gretna Hub admin finds your event and has the time to create it on your behalf. You can present your organization’s events the way that you want. You can also choose when to share them. This approach ensures that each event represents your organization’s mission statement and goals.

This collaborative community calendar helps potential customers or patrons find your organization’s information, upcoming events, social media links, and more.

Plus, with Gretna Hub being a Gretna Public Library resource, users will feel confident that members of The Gretna Hub have community at the heart of what they do.

Possible Future Benefits

If there is enough interest from member organizations, then Gretna Public Library may upgrade The Gretna Hub’s LocalHop account.

Upgrades may include:

  • Room reservations.
  • Registration & ticketing.
  • Communications portal.
  • And more!

This is great! How do I join?

  • Fill out the form below.
  • A Gretna Hub admin will review your application and reach out with any questions.
  • If there are no questions, or the questions are answered, then your basic information will be sent to LocalHop. The basic information is your first and last name, your business/organization’s name, and your email address.
  • LocalHop will then create your organization in their system and link it to the library’s Gretna Hub account.
  • LocalHop will then send you an email with a link to create your free LocalHop account which is linked to The Gretna Hub calendar. 
  • You’ll log-in/create your password.
  • You can start adding your events.
  • Be sure that your events follow the Gretna Public Library’s policy on posting to its community calendar.
    The Gretna Public Library Board should update its policy during its October 2024 meeting on the 28th. If you’ve already joined The Gretna Hub prior to this update, then you should check back in November for the updated policy. The core of its eligible/ineligible posting guidelines should remain similar.
